These are 2" tall and the opening is 1 3/4". These hold about 2 fl ounces or about 1.75-2.2 oz (by weight) of wax, depending fill level. If you want a straight sided votive with no flare, just don't fill your mold all the way to the top.

Unscented SOY Votive Candles - Each
These used to be made by Enchanted Lites (Soy Basics/Bean Pod Candles) using the EL Soy Votive Wax and a natural PK7 paper wick there is no fragrance or dye, just pure clean ambience. Our testers had burned as long as 12 hours but burn time will vary. These votives measured about 1 3/4" across the top and 1 7/8" high and 1 7/16" across the bottom. Soy votive candles should always be burned in a glass votive holder...not a plate.

We sell by the pound primarily for you to use as a sample or for small batches. Wax purchased this way will always be more expensive than purchasing by the 45 pound case because of us having to weigh and bag each order.
Choose Which Wax You Want: Millennium Soy Wax is the default listed, unless you change it to 100% Soy or the M-100 Melt & Tart Wax.

SCENTED SOY DROP MAKERS - Select the 100% Soy for a 5% scent load or the Millennium Soy Container Wax for a 4% scent load. Both now come in the tiny pastilles you need. While many customers like the Millennium wax for scented soy beads, many more report faster dry times with the 100% Soy! Pastille size, shape, hardness and absorption rates can vary from batch to batch.

Clear Clamshell Tart Mold-CASE of 875

CASE of 875Make 6 1"x1"x1" snap apart tarts in one sellable hinged lid container. Holds about 3 oz wax (by weight) to the brim. Includes a hang tag hole for easy display. (Wax not included, just the molds).

Directions: Melt Soy TART Wax to 160 degrees, add fragrance oil at 1oz to 1.5oz per pound of wax, add dye if desired. See How to Make Votive Candles for more information. Pour your scented and dyed mixture directly into the main cavity at 130-150 degrees. We've got feedback that 75% Millennium Wax/25% Votive Wax poured at 130-140 degrees also works very well. When cool and hard close the hinged lid and apply your label for a nicely packaged, ready to sell product. Your customer snaps a tart piece off like a hard chocolate bar to use in their warmer.

NOTES- These molds were designed primarily to hold dry goods such as beads or small auto electric parts and were never guaranteed to hold liquids at all. Therefore, some leaking molds are to be expected. We've done the math, and this is a small price to pay for such an affordable product! Pouring too hot can distort the shape and cause more leakers. You can help minimized the situation by pouring cooler. You can also pour on a layer of parchment paper or in a baking pan. It might be a good idea to have a bowl handy so you can empty a leaky mold into the bowl to salvage the product. Pouring too cool may prevent the slight shrinkage you want and make it hard to remove from the mold later. The key is to find the right temperature that works best with your wax/fragrance mixture and be alert to the possibility of a leak.

M-100 SOY MELT & TART WAX - 45 lb CASE

M-100 ULTIMATE SOY MELT & TART WAX
45 lb CASE

An all soy and botanical blend wax that is very easy to use for melts, tarts, votive candles and more. Not a container wax. M-100 is designed to shrink so you can get it out of the molds. Can cool shiny or mottled depending on your pour temperatures. Comes is tiny pastille beads.

This is similar to our previous melt and tart wax P-100 and can also be used for votive candles! Some chandlers report good results mixing M-100 with Millennium Soy Wax at 30-50%.
Test a sample!

For the Best Results-Experiment with your pour temperatures.

FOR A MOTTLED LOOK: Melt to 160°F, stir in fragrance & Dye. Let cool to 145°F or cooler, then pour into unheated molds. Test to see what temperatures work best for you.

FOR A SHINY LOOK: Melt wax to 170° F, stir in fragrance & Dye. Pour right away for a smooth finish. Preheat metal molds for more sheen. Test to see what temperatures work best for you.

Votive Wick Pin - NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

The old style cupped or coned shaped bottom wick pins are no longer available. We did some testing with the newer flat base wick pins and were not happy with the results. The new pins did not self center in the molds and required mold release spray to keep from sticking and breaking the candle bottomes.

THERE IS A BETTER WAY! (in our opinion)
We had a super good recommendation from a customer that makes thousands of votive candles a year. He did away with the wick pins all together and instead started drilling a small hole through the candle after it hardens. This person does so many that he made a jig to center it over the bit on a mini drill press to speed it up and make the hole straighter, but, if you’re not doing allot of them you can do it with a Dremel tool or regular drill. The best part is you don’t have the damaged bottoms and you don’t have to keep cleaning the wick pins.

A little hotter than HTP41 and cooler than PK-7. May work for your harder to burn votives and making container candles in 2 oz Votive Jars. Has an extra large 31mm x 3 mm base tab.
