Directions: Melt Soy TART Wax to 160 degrees, add fragrance oil at 1oz to 1.5oz per pound of wax, add dye if desired.  See How to Make Votive Candles for more information.  Pour your scented and dyed mixture directly into the main cavity at 130-150 degrees.  We've got feedback that 75% Millennium Wax/25% Votive Wax poured at 130-140 degrees also works very well. When cool and hard close the hinged lid and apply your label for a nicely packaged, ready to sell product.  Your customer snaps a tart piece off like a hard chocolate bar to use in their warmer.

NOTES- These molds were designed primarily to hold dry goods such as beads or small auto electric parts and were never guaranteed to hold liquids at all. Therefore, some leaking molds are to be expected. We've done the math, and this is a small price to pay for such an affordable product! Pouring too hot can distort the shape and cause more leakers. You can help minimized the situation by pouring cooler. You can also pour on a layer of parchment paper or in a baking pan. It might be a good idea to have a bowl handy so you can empty a leaky mold into the bowl to salvage the product. Pouring too cool may prevent the slight shrinkage you want and make it hard to remove from the mold later. The key is to find the right temperature that works best with your wax/fragrance mixture and be alert to the possibility of a leak.

Glass Candy/Cooking Thermometer
Your basic thermometer used for candle making, cooking and candy.  Actual item can vary slightly from the image depending on availability, but they are going to be about 8" long with a side clip to hold it in your pour pot.   Reads 100-400 degrees F.   Packed individually in a bubble card.   These are GLASS so use with care; there is no warranty against breakage.

Glass Dye Dropper
20/400 (7mm x 89mm) Black Bulb. These droppers fit our 2 oz. GLASS Boston Round amber dye bottles and may work with other 20mm neck bottles but they don't fit any of our plastic bottles used for fragrance. Even if you have 20mm neck bottles check the 89mm length of the dropper as it may be too long to fit in your bottle or too short to reach the bottom contents. Order a few to test with your bottles as they are not returnable for any reason.

Votive Mold - Steel w/Flare
These are 2" tall and the opening is 1 3/4". These hold about 2 fl ounces or about 1.75-2.2 oz (by weight) of wax, depending fill level.  If you want a straight sided votive with no flare, just don't fill your mold all the way to the top.

Votive Wick Pin

The old style cupped or coned shaped bottom wick pins are no longer available.  We did some testing with the newer flat base wick pins and were not happy with the results.  The new pins did not self center in the molds and required mold release spray to keep from sticking and breaking the candle bottomes.

THERE IS A BETTER WAY! (in our opinion)
We had a super good recommendation from a customer that makes thousands of votive candles a year.  He did away with the wick pins all together and instead started drilling a small hole through the candle after it hardens.  This person does so many that he made a jig to center it over the bit on a mini drill press to speed it up and make the hole straighter, but, if you’re not doing allot of them you can do it with a Dremel tool or regular drill. The best part is you don’t have the damaged bottoms and you don’t have to keep cleaning the wick pins.

Wick Stickers with Side Tabs
Designed with side tabs for quick and easy removal. Use these double sided sticky foam dots to center and hold your wick in containers! No more hot glue burns!

Ensure that your wick base is free of wax dust. Using the side tab peel the paper cover off. Attach your wick base and pull the Sticker dot off at an angle. You can also pre-sticker your wicks by attaching the base to the other side of the sticker and leave the paper cover with the tab on for later.
